We've been seeing a lot of floral lately, much with good reason!
Just as flowers brighten your mood, whether in a room or given to you on a special day,
it makes perfect sense that the effect is the same when you wear it!
Floral dress I found at the Maze at ayala cebu for around P700.00, paired with denim skirt (love the pockets!) from Just G for P600.00 (which happens to own my favorite gingersnaps store for kids too), belt from Forever21, it was a belt that came with the shorts I got, so this cost practically nothing.

Bracelet from butch carungay and Chanel beige 2.55 bag. ( I always wear my bag where the logo is not facing people, I don't know... it's just my way of not wanting to show the CC logo of Chanel, I don't really like logos that show). People should appreciate a bag for what it is and not the logo that screams at you!

Some people like their luxury bags to tell the world what brand it is, which I find kind of weird. I appreciate low-profile bags. People who know, will know :)

You don't have to validate your self-worth by any price tag of something that you wear. This is something acquired through age. We learn later in life that humble people are more secure of themselves.

Okay, I won't lie. At first I found it rather assuming and "feeling" of people to take pictures of themselves and show them to the world as if people gave a damn. What a hypocrite I am now!
But I was just so inspired by the only fashion blog site I really try to visit from time to time which is karla'scloset.blogspot.com.

She does her own photo shoots in an effortless way and her fashion is creative/original yet relatable.
I sometimes cringe when I have to start to enumerate and expound on my pictures. Perhaps it's because I am in no right place to tell you the ethics in dressing up. There will be times when I will go out, nonchalant that I am wearing the big blousy shirt of my husband and cut-out shorts. There will be times when I will be a fashion victim and scream at myself for the what-were-you-thinking-when-you-wore-that-moments. But if I can inspire too, just as what karla did to me, then I'm happy.

If there is one thing I wish to say to girls out there:
1. Experiment, experiment, experiment. Don't limit yourself to just one style.
2. Try on all kinds of colors. Colors don't bite so why are people so afraid of them?
3. Try on make-up and a new hair color or hairdo. What's the worst case scenario? Make-up gets off with make-up remover, and your hair will eventually grow back. Seriously!! Don't you get tired of your face if you don't try to change it once in a while? It's like sticking to the same car or same bedsheets forever, you don't need surgery to get a face "LIFT".

What I wore on a girl's night out:

Something fishy about this beige blouse top from Calypso that I got in Manila Megamall Department store for P999, it's the exact same top I got in an old rose color from H&M in Hongkong!

But, didn't I say that I was crazy over lace?! Here I am with a classical print black lace with puffy shorts that I got from What a Girl Wants in ayala cebu for just under P500. That's one store that you'll have those great-finds-moment when something is such a bargain and yet you look like you got it off from a luxury mannequin.
Break the monotony with blood red shoes from H&M.
Sometimes, ribbons on anything can look tacky. But in this case, where the red is so loud, you forget about the ribbon and just think it's a sexy and cute shoe all rolled into one package. Oh, and huge gold loop earrings too!
Beige, black and red, you can never go wrong with this trio of colors altogether.

Fashion is not my life. And here I am about to make a fashion blog.

You see, I used to be a pretty private person, in fact I still am.

But in this day and age of rising technology (and I am the illeterate-techy person) , you start of with friendster, move on to multiply, then graduate to facebook and next thing you know, you're giving birth to a... blog! If I had known years back that I would be sharing the story of my life to random strangers, I would have rather shaved my hair off.

You see, a blog is self-promotion. And I was never one to insist myself upon the outside world.

But in life there is always a but.

I happen to love, love, love photoshoots whether it was for me or by me. It's one of those moments where my mind enters into a trance and all my problems are unheard off--sort of the same feeling they say when you're high, but that's a whole 'nother blog.

So where was I? Oh yeah, fashion is not my life. But it doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. It's something that should come naturally. It shouldn't be pressure as most girls lay it out to be when there's an event to go to or a night out and stress blows from their ears on what they will be wearing (fine, I won't lie, that does sound like me from time to time). Fashion is fun. The only rules there are, are the ones you make for yourself. Which is tricky, because the rules you set for yourself are always the ones that get broken. And it doesn't matter. Fashion evolves and so should we. This is the one department where the RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN.

And I love to blabber in writing. Which I probably didn't have to point out, I just did a demo for you.

So here goes, photoshoots + clothes + blabbering in writing = I know you can do the math, but that soo spells fashion blog to me.

Enjoy!

It is coincidental that my real first blog entry is falling on valentines day...and what I happen to wear is something sweet, dainty and romantic. I am so in-love with these H&M high-waist pretty pink shorts with lace appique at the bottom that I bought in Hongkong. I paired with an all lace top (I am crazy over lace) that is actually a robe that my friend got from July boutique in ayala cebu just about P700.00!

The right high-waist shorts will make you look real calssy and fashion-forward. Not to mention, the cinch-waist belt has slimming powers! The flowy fabric of the shorts is so light it feels like its chiffon...or wait, maybe it is.
Floral round earrings I found in Aldo is just P150.00 a pair.
Old rose shoes from naturalizer that I got in a factory outlet in the US.

Happy Heart's Day!!!

What's a blog anyway?

I need to be honest. I did a quickie research on what a blog really is. Being incessantly prodded by my sister-in-law to make one, I guess you can say...here I am now!!

I actually hesitated a million times over in my head. Blame it on the over-cynical and over-analytical side of me. Who's going to read my blog anyway? What am I going to write about? And the endless list goes on...

And it hit me. WHO CARES? A blog is an online journal. The only person it's set to appease is no other person but me.

And then I hear kanye singing over my head "I am the only thing I am afraid of..."

And now. CLICK.
